ALM-50601 LDMS Service Unavailable

This section applies only to MRS 3.6.0 or later.

Alarm Description

The system checks the LDMS service status every 30 seconds. This alarm is generated when the LDMS service is abnormal.

This alarm is cleared when the LDMS service recovers.

User_Queue

Name of the user who submits the alarm and the queue for which the alarm is generated.

Impact on the System

Users cannot use the job functions related to the LDMS component. For example, the LDMSServer instance page cannot be accessed or the LDMSServer interface fails to be invoked.

Possible Causes

  • The node where the Spark service locates is faulty.
  • The HDFS service is abnormal.
  • The Yarn service is abnormal.
  • The Hive service is abnormal.
  • The DBService service is abnormal.
  • The ZooKeeper service is abnormal.

Handling Procedure

Check whether the Spark, HDFS, Yarn, Hive, DBService and ZooKeeper services are normal.

  1. Log in to FusionInsight Manager and choose O&M > Alarm > Alarms.
  2. Check whether the following alarms exist in the alarm list:

    • ALM-14000 HDFS Service Unavailable
    • ALM-18000 Yarn Service Unavailable
    • ALM-16004 Hive Service Unavailable
    • ALM-27001 DBService Is Unavailable
    • ALM-13000 ZooKeeper Service Unavailable
    • ALM-43001 Spark Service Unavailable

  3. Handle the alarms by following the instructions provided in the alarm help.

    After those alarms are cleared, wait a few minutes and check whether this alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to Step 4.

Collect fault information.

  1. On FusionInsight Manager, choose O&M. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Log > Download.
  2. Expand the Service drop-down list, select LDMS for the target cluster, and click OK.
  3. Expand the Hosts drop-down list. In the Select Host dialog box that is displayed, select the hosts to which the role belongs, and click OK.
  4. Click the edit icon in the upper right corner, and set Start Date and End Date for log collection to 10 minutes ahead of and after the alarm generation time, respectively. Then, click Download.
  5. Contact O&M technical support and send the collected logs.

Alarm Clearance

This alarm is automatically cleared after the fault is rectified.
