You can disable protection for a server. A quota that has been unbound from a server can be bound to another one.
Before You Start
Disabling protection does not affect services, but will increase security risks. You are advised to keep your servers protected.
To unsubscribe from the pay-per-use quota of a server, you just need to disable the protection.
Disabling HSS
The procedure for disabling protection varies depending on edition.
Disabling the Basic/Professional/Enterprise/Premium Edition
- Log in to the management console.
- In the upper left corner of the page, select a region, click
, and choose Security & Compliance > Host Security Service.
- In the navigation pane, choose Asset Management > Servers & Quota. Click the Servers tab.
- (Optional) If you have enabled the enterprise project function, select an enterprise project from the Enterprise Project drop-down list in the upper part of the page to view its data.
- Click Disable in the Operation column of a server.
You can also select multiple servers, and click
Disable above the server list to disable protection in batches.

- In the dialog box that is displayed, confirm the information and click OK.
- Check the protection status in the server list. If it is Unprotected, the protection has been disabled.
Disabling WTP
Disabling WTP stops protection and releases the protection quota (by unbinding the yearly/monthly quota or stopping the pay-per-use quota billing), but does not delete the configured WTP settings, such as protected directories and privileged processes.
- Log in to the management console.
- In the upper left corner of the page, select a region, click
, and choose Security & Compliance > Host Security Service.
- In the navigation pane, choose Server Protection > Web Tamper Protection.

- (Optional) If you have enabled the enterprise project function, select an enterprise project from the Enterprise Project drop-down list in the upper part of the page to view its data.
- Click Disable in the Operation column of a server.
You can also select multiple servers, and click
Disable above the server list to disable protection in batches.

- Check the protection status of the server on the Servers tab. If it is Unprotected, the protection has been disabled.
- To enable protection again, in the Operation column of a server, click Enable.
- If you have enabled dynamic WTP before disabling protection, you need to manually enable it after enabling protection again.
