Stopping an HPC Cluster
Scenarios
If there are no jobs to run on a pay-per-use HPC cluster, you can stop the cluster to save money.
- Yearly/monthly cloud servers will continue to be billed after the cluster is stopped. You need to manually unsubscribe from the cloud servers to stop billing.
- Only clusters in the Running state can be stopped.
Procedure
- Log in to the HPC-S² console.
- In the navigation pane on the left, choose Clusters.
- In the cluster list, locate the row where the cluster you want to stop resides, and choose More > Stop in the Operation column.
- Click OK.
- Wait until the cluster status changes to Stopped.
