Altering a Table
After a table is created, you can alter information of the table, including basic information, columns, generated columns, indexes, and foreign keys.
Usage Notes
Improper alterations on a table will cause instance or service exceptions.
Procedure
- Log in to the DAS console.
- Click
in the upper left corner and select a region and project. - In the navigation pane on the left, choose Development Tool.
You can also click Go to Development Tool on the overview page.
- Locate the DB instance that you want to log in to and click Log In in the Operation column.
- On the top menu bar, choose Database Management.
- Click Change on the right of the current database to switch to the database where you want to create a table. Figure 1 Switching to another database
- On the displayed Objects tab, choose Tables on the left.
- In the table list, locate the table you want to alter and click Alter in the Operation column. Figure 2 Table list
- Alter the table information as required. For details, see Creating a Table. Figure 3 Altering table settings
- After the alteration is complete, click Alter.
- In the SQL Preview dialog box, click Execute.
