A Request Timeout Error Is Reported When the Open Button of a Notebook Instance Is Clicked

Symptom

A request timeout error is reported when the open button of a notebook instance is clicked.

Possible Causes

If a user attempts to click the Open button to open a notebook container that has broken down due to memory overflow or other reasons, a request timeout error is displayed.

Solution

Wait half a minute or so until the container is restored, and then click Open again.
