Introduction to gs_dump
- gs_dump is inherited from GaussDB(for openGauss) and is used to back up and restore database information. You can back up a database or its objects (such as schemas, tables, and views).
- gs_dump is executed by OS user omm.
- Services are not interrupted when gs_dump is exporting data. Other users can access the MOTService database (read or write data from or to the database).
- gs_dump can back up data as plain-text SQL scripts and work with the gsql client tool to restore data.
