Viewing Metadata Details

Scenario

View metadata details on Manager as an MRS cluster administrator.

Prerequisites

You have logged in to Manager.

You have created a user who is associated with the hadoop user group and System_administrator role.

Procedure

1. Log in to Manager using the created user and choose Cluster > Name of the desired cluster > Services > Metadata > MetadataServer. The Metadata web UI is displayed.
2. Click Metadata Summary, select the extracted metadata in the navigation tree, and view the metadata details.
   • Summary

     After you select the metadata, basic information about the metadata is displayed.

   • Customer label

     You can configure a label for the selected metadata. After configuring the label, click Save.

   

   After the multi-instance function is enabled, if the MRS cluster administrator adds multiple HBase or Hive service instances, Metadata can manage the metadata of these HBase and Hive service instances.
