Upgrading the MgC Agent for Linux
If Upgrade available is displayed in the Installed Version column of your MgC Agent, your MgC Agent is outdated. Upgrade to the latest version to ensure full feature availability.
When you upgrade the MgC Agent for Linux, the files and data in the directories below will be retained.

| /opt/cloud/MgC-Agent/data | Stores data table files. |
| /opt/cloud/MgC-Agent/logs | Stores log files. |
| /opt/cloud/MgC-Agent/tools/SCCConf | Stores SCC encryption files. |
Procedure
- On the Linux server where the MgC Agent of an earlier version is installed, run the following command to go to the scripts folder in the MgC Agent installation directory:
cd /opt/cloud/MgC-Agent/scripts
- Run the following command to stop the MgC Agent:
sh stop.bat
- Sign in to the MgC console. In the navigation pane, choose MgC Agent.
- In the Linux area, click Download Installation Package or Copy Download Command to download the MgC Agent installation program to the Linux server.
- Install the latest version of the MgC Agent. For details, see Installing the MgC Agent on Linux.
