The Error "Unsupported authorization for default database" Is Displayed When a Permission Migration Task Is Executed
Symptom
When the permission migration task is executed, the permission of the default database fails to be migrated, and the following error is displayed in the log:
"error_msg":"Unsupported authorization for default database."
Fault Handling
Check whether the OBS storage path of the default database of the current LakeFormation instance is the same as that of the hive catalog. If yes, modify or cancel the OBS storage path of the hive catalog.
Procedure
- Log in to the LakeFormation console.
- Select the target LakeFormation instance from the drop-down list box on the left.
- Check the OBS storage path of the default database.
- In the navigation pane, choose Metadata > Database. Select hive from the drop-down list of catalog in the upper right corner.
- In the list, click the default database name, and view and record the OBS storage path.
- Check the OBS storage path of the hive catalog.
- In the navigation pane on the left, choose Metadata > Catalog.
- In the list, click the hive catalog name, and view and record the OBS storage path.
- Check whether the OBS storage paths of the default database and hive catalog are the same.
- If yes, on the hive catalog details page, click Edit, click
next to Select Location and select another OBS path or delete the OBS path, and click Submit. - If no, contact O&M personnel.
- If yes, on the hive catalog details page, click Edit, click
- In the navigation pane on the left, choose Jobs > Permission Migration. Click Start in the Operation column of the target task to run the permission migration task again.
