[Product Discontinuation Notice] SDRS Synchronous Replication Discontinue Notice
Discontinue Notice
On Jun 13, 2024, 00:00 GMT+08:00, Huawei Cloud will discontinue the sale of Storage Disaster Recovery Service (SDRS) synchronous replication.
Scope
All regions.
Impact
After the discontinuation, synchronous replication will be no longer available for new users, who are advised to use SDRS asynchronous replication instead. If you have purchased synchronous replication resources, you can still purchase new and use existing synchronous replication resources.
If you have any questions, please submit a service ticket.
FAQ
- What are the impacts of this discontinuation?
After the feature is discontinued, synchronous replication will be no longer available for new users. If you have purchased synchronous replication resources, you can still purchase new and use existing synchronous replication resources and renew orders of existing protected instances.
- Is there any substitute after the discontinuation?
You can use SDRS asynchronous replication. See the official website for details.
- Can I switch to asynchronous replication for my protected instances created using synchronous replication?
No, one-click switchover from synchronous replication to asynchronous replication is not supported. You need to reconfigure the resources using asynchronous replication.
