Huawei Cloud will start the open beta test (OBT) for memory acceleration of RDS for MySQL on May 28, 2024.

How to Participate
On the Overview page of the target RDS for MySQL instance, choose Memory Acceleration in the navigation pane on the left. Create a GeminiDB instance and then create a mapping rule.
Constraints
- Primary/Standby GeminiDB Redis instances with 1 vCPU and 4 GB, 2 vCPUs and 8 GB, or 4 vCPUs and 16 GB of memory created on the Memory Acceleration page are free for three months. Instances with other specifications will incur charges.
- An IAM account can create three OBT instances in a region.
- You can change the specifications of a created GeminiDB Redis instance, but the instance will be billed after the change.
- To avoid being billed, you are advised to delete the GeminiDB Redis instance immediately after removing a mapping.
