SMTP Usage
Description
Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) is a communication protocol that enables secure and reliable email exchange between users. It defines the specifications for sending and receiving emails so that emails can be transmitted across networks.
SMTP is based on texts and uses commands and responses for communication.
Prerequisites
You have communicated with operations personnel for configuring the email-related information before using the email message function, and obtained the SMTP login account and password.
Usage Guide
You connect to the server through SMTP to send emails, including blind carbon copy (BCC) and carbon copy (CC) attachments.
The following process is for reference only.
- Obtain the sender address, and SMTP account and password required for sending emails.
- Be familiar with basic SMTP commands and specifications.
- Refer to the sample code provided in this document to connect to the server through a program and send emails.
- After sending an email, you can query the email sending and receiving status based on the SMTP sending mode on the Sending Details page or query the email sending status through the API.
