Installing and Configuring Git
CodeArts Repo is a Git-based service. Git clients such as Git Bash or TortoiseGit must be installed on local computers to connect to CodeArts Repo. The following sections describe how to install and configure Git Bash and TortoiseGit on Windows, Linux, and macOS.
If you have installed Git and configured the signature and email address, skip the following sections:
- Installing Git Bash for Windows
- Installing TortoiseGit for Windows
- Installing Git for Linux
- Installing Git for macOS
- GitHub Desktop is not supported in CodeArts Repo.
- The username can contain letters, digits, and common characters, but cannot contain characters no more than 32 in the ASCII code table. It cannot start or end with ., : ; < > " \\ and \. Any of the preceding characters appears at the beginning or end will be ignored. To facilitate management, you can set this parameter to the username of CodeArts Repo.
- The email address should be written in the standard format.
