Creating an Alarm Rule for a Resource Group

To monitor the usage of cloud resources in a resource group, you can create an alarm rule. If the metric value of a resource reaches the alarm threshold, Cloud Eye sends an alarm notification. This helps you identify and handle abnormal monitoring data in real time.

Constraints

  • Event alarm rules can be created only for resource groups created by dimension.
  • For event alarm rules, you can select resource groups as the monitoring scope only when the event source is ECS (supported only in certain regions; for details, see the console), GeminiDB, DDS, RDS, or DCS.

Creating an Alarm Rule

  1. Log in to the Cloud Eye console.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Resource Groups.
  1. In the row containing the target resource group, click Create Alarm Rule in the Operation column.
  2. On the displayed page, configure the basic information, alarm policy, alarm notification, and advanced settings. For details about the parameters for creating an alarm rule, see Creating an Alarm Rule.
  3. Click Create.

The new alarm rule is displayed in the alarm rule list of the resource group.
