AOM Alarm Monitoring Overview

AOM provides alarm monitoring capabilities. Alarms are reported when AOM or an external service is abnormal or may cause exceptions. You need to take measures accordingly. Otherwise, service exceptions may occur. Events generally carry some important information. They are reported when AOM or an external service has some changes. Such changes do not necessarily cause service exceptions.

Configuring Alarm Notification

Create a notification rule and associate it with a recipient and a message template. If the log/resource/metric data meets the alarm condition, the system sends an alarm notification based on the associated recipient and message template.

Configuring AOM Alarm Rules

Create alarm or event rules to monitor resource usage in real time.

Checking AOM Alarms or Events

AOM displays alarms and events so that you can quickly detect, locate, and rectify faults.

Configuring AOM Alarm Noise Reduction

AOM processes alarms based on noise reduction rules to prevent an alarm storm.

Constraints

After AOM 2.0 integrates Cloud Eye functions, the system will add fine-grained permissions (CES:*:*, ecs:instance:list, dms:instance:list, dms:instance:get, lts:topics:list, lts:groups:list, smn:topic:list, smn:topic:publish, swr:repository:*, swr:repo:*, vpc:bandwidths:get, as:groups:get, and astrocanvas:*:*) to the AOM FullAccess policy. If you have used this policy to control the permissions of users under a tenant, the preceding cloud service resources will also be displayed for these users. To control the resources among these users, make custom permission configuration.
