Reinstalling a MOTService Host

Background

MOTService supports host reinstallation. If the system is abnormal due to file loss, you can reinstall the host or instance to quickly restore services.

  • You can reinstall a single node or both the active and standby MOTService nodes. If the active node is reinstalled, an active/standby switchover is triggered.
  • Data can be retained during host reinstallation. After the installation is complete, data restoration is not required.
  • Data can be cleared during host reinstallation. After the reinstallation is complete, no service data is available.

Procedure

  1. Log in to FusionInsight Manager.
  2. Choose Cluster > Services > MOTService and click Instance.
  3. You can reinstall the instance or host as needed.

    • Reinstalling an instance: Select a desired instance, click More, and select Reinstall Instances. In the dialog box that is displayed, enter the user password, and reinstall the instance as prompted.
