What Should I Do If No Pop-up Window Appears When Creating a Project?

Symptom

When a project is created, no window is displayed for you to choose whether to open the project in a new window or the current window.

Cause Analysis

You have selected Don't ask again.

Solution

1. Press Ctrl+Shift+P to open the command palette.
2. Enter Open Settings and select Preferences: Open Settings (UI).

3. Enter window:openFoldersInNewWindow and set it as required from the drop-down list:
   • To open the project in a new window next time you create a project, set it to on.
   • To open the project in the current window next time you create a project, set it to off.
   • To display the selection window next time you create a project, set it to default.
