ModelArts HDK Version Policy

ModelArts regularly updates the HDK kit (Ascend NPU) to enhance features, optimize performance, and fix issues, ultimately improving user experience and system stability. It is recommended that you upgrade the ModelArts HDK kit to the latest version periodically to access new functions, avoid vulnerabilities, and maintain service security and reliability.

The content in this chapter applies to ModelArts Standard, Lite Server, and Lite Cluster.

ModelArts HDK Version Phases

  • Commercial use: The HDK commercial version has been fully verified and is stable and reliable. You can use this version in production environments while enjoying the ModelArts O&M assurance.
  • EOS: After the HDK version EOS, ModelArts does not support the creation of new resources or provide technical support including new feature updates, vulnerability or issue fixes, new patches, service ticket guidance, and online checks for the EOS cluster version. The ModelArts O&M assurance is not valid for such resources.

ModelArts HDK Version Upgrade

To experience new features and avoid known vulnerabilities or issues, you are advised to upgrade the HDK periodically. Using an EOS version, you cannot obtain technical support and ModelArts O&M assurance. Upgrade the HDK in a timely manner. If you encounter any problem during the upgrade, submit a service ticket to contact technical support.

For details about how to upgrade the HDK of each ModelArts product, see the following documents:
