Creating an Event Alarm Rule

Scenarios

You can create event alarm rules to customize the event monitoring scope and notification policies, so that you can be well-informed of the VPN service status.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the management console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select the desired region and project.
  3. Click in the upper left corner of the management console, and choose Management & Governance > Cloud Eye.
  4. Click Event Monitoring from the navigation pane.
  5. Click Create Alarm Rule in the upper right corner. The Create Alarm Rule page is displayed.
  6. Configure an event alarm rule by referring to Table 1.

    Parameter

    Description

    Name

    The system automatically generates a name. You can also change the name.

    Alarm Type

    Select Event.

    Event Type

    Select System event.

    Event Source

    Select Virtual Private Network.

    Monitoring Scope

    Select All resources.

    Method

    Set this parameter as required.

    Alarm Policy

    You are advised to select Certificate to expire in 1 day, Certificate to expire in 3 days, and Certificate to expire in 7 days so that the system will send alarm notifications seven days, three days, and one day before the certificate expires.

    Notified By

    Set this parameter as required.

    NOTE:

    Alarm notifications are sent by the Simple Message Notification (SMN) service, which may incur a small amount of fees.

  7. Click Create.

    After the event alarm rule is created, you will receive a notification once an alarm is generated.
