Requirement Settings
During software development, requirement management is key to project success. As projects expand in scale, the complexity and volume of requirements can increase dramatically, often surpassing the capabilities of traditional requirement management approaches. This makes it challenging to ensure efficient management and traceability.
Based on the requirement levels of CodeArts Req, you can set a custom test requirement hierarchy model to efficiently manage and break down requirements for test activities, which helps you build a test system that supports bidirectional requirement traceability.
Notes and Constraints
- Requirement settings can be configured only in a project using a custom template. For details about how to use a customized template to create a project, see Configuring a Project Template.
- You must have the permissions to modify test settings. For details, see Role Permissions
Procedure
- Log in to the CodeArts TestPlan homepage, click Homepage, and select a project.
- In the navigation pane, choose Settings > Testing.
- Click the Requirement Settings tab. The requirement tree of the current project is displayed.
- Enable or disable Testable for the target requirement type.
For example, in a project, Testable is disabled for requirements of the US type. In this case, US work items cannot be associated with test plans, test cases, and mind maps when they are being archived.
