If a CBR vault has no policies attached or has a policy that has a shorter retention period than the specified period (in days), this CBR vault is non-compliant.

Application Scenarios

You need to ensure that the backup retention period is long enough to reserve backups for service restoration.

Solution

Set a proper retention rule for your backup policy. For details about the retention rule, see Creating a Backup Policy.

Rule Logic

  • If a backup policy is bound to and enabled for a CBR vault and the backup retention period is no less than the specified duration, the vault is compliant.
  • If a backup policy is bound to a CBR vault but not enabled or the backup retention period is shorter than the specified duration, the vault is non-compliant.
  • If no backup policy is bound to a CBR vault, the vault is non-compliant.
