Creating a User and Granting Permissions

This section describes fine-grained permissions management for your CodeArts Req using Identity and Access Management (IAM). With this permission management, you can:

  • Create IAM users for employees based on your enterprise's organizational structure. They will have their own security credentials for accessing resources.
  • Assign only the permissions required for users to perform a specific task.
  • Entrust an account or cloud service to perform professional and efficient O&M on your project resources.

Figure 1 describes the procedure for granting permissions.

Prerequisites

By default, the sub-account does not have the permission to set multiple projects. Only the default user of the IAM main account can be authorized using the IAM system policies, the tenant account grants required permissions to the sub-account.

Ensure that you understand the IAM system policies that you can use to add/delete permissions to/from the users in CodeArts Req.

Create a user on the IAM console and add the user to the group created in 1.
