Creating a Project Using a Custom Project Template

You can select other project templates defined by the tenant when creating a project. After a custom project template is selected, a project corresponding to the custom template is automatically generated for reference and use.

Prerequisites

You have the permission to create projects. If Create Project is not displayed on the CodeArts homepage, you do not have the required permission. Contact the administrator to add the permission. For details about how to grant the CodeArts project creator permission to a user, see Setting the CodeArts Project Creator.

Selecting Another Project Template to Create a Project

  1. Choose Create > Create Project on the CodeArts homepage.
  2. On the Select Template page, select Other Project Templates in the Templates area.
  3. Select a custom project template from the Select Project Template drop-down list. For example, select the custom functional safety project template created in Configuring Project Templates.
  4. Set project information. For example, set the project name to Custom Functional Security Project.
  5. Click OK. The Work Item > Req page is displayed by default.
  6. Modify the project as required, or use the preset scenarios, work items, and processes.
