Changing the Responsible Project of Bugs

You can change the responsible project of a bug to another project. After the change, the bug does not need to be handled in this project.

Prerequisites

  • A project has been created.
  • A bug has been created.
  • Other projects exist in the system.

Procedure

  1. In the bug list, select the bugs whose responsible projects need to be changed.

    • Changing the responsible project of a single defect: Click the name of the bug whose responsible project needs to be changed. On the bug details page, edit the Responsible Project field.
    • Changing the responsible project of one or more bugs: Select the bugs whose responsible projects need to be changed by selecting the check boxes, and click Batch Edit at the bottom of the page. In the displayed Batch Edit window, select the Responsible Project field.

  2. Select the target responsible project, current owner, and other mandatory fields.
  3. Click OK. The responsible project is changed.

    The migrated bug information does not exist in the bug list. The status of the bug migrated to another project is displayed as the first status of the workflow of the responsible project.
