Modifying a Resource Pool

Updated at: Mar 25, 2021 GMT+08:00

If hosts in the resource pool need to be adjusted based on service requirements, administrators can modify members in the existing resource pool on FusionInsight Manager.

  1. Log in to FusionInsight Manager.
  2. Choose Tenant Resources > Resource Pool.
  3. Locate the row that contains the specified resource pool in the resource pool list, and click Edit in the Operation column.
  4. If the cross-AZ HA function is enabled for the cluster, you can manually specify the primary AZ of the resource pool.

    • If Primary AZ of the resource pool is specified, the Yarn task queue uses the node resources in the AZ to execute tasks when the AZ is healthy. If Primary AZ is not specified, the system preferentially selects the node with more remaining resources based on the resource usage of each AZ to submit Yarn tasks.
    • You cannot manually specify the primary AZ for the default resource pool.

  5. In Edit Resource Pool, modify Hosts.

    • Adding a host: In the host list on the left, select the name of a specified host and click to add the selected host to the resource pool.
    • Deleting a host: In the host list on the left, select the name of a specified host and click to delete the selected host from the resource pool. The host list of a resource pool can be left blank.

  6. Click OK to save the settings.
