Migration Tasks (NEW)

Overview

• Task list: You can view the list of all tasks that have been configured and started.
• Task monitoring: You can view the execution status and progress of each migration task in real time.
• Viewing task details: You can view the details of each migration task, including the parameter settings and resource migration details.
• Task operations: You can start or pause migration tasks.
• Draft list: You can view the list of incomplete migration tasks, called drafts. You can resume task configuration using these saved drafts.

Constraints

• Only the AP-Singapore and TR-Istanbul regions are supported.
• Migration tasks follow the same constraints as migration plans. For details, see Constraints on MgC Features.

Managing Tasks

1. Sign in to the MgC console. In the navigation pane, under Project, select your application migration project from the drop-down list.
2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Migration Tasks. On the Tasks tab, you can view all tasks that have been configured and started.
3. Click a task name to view the task details, including the overall progress and the migration status of resources contained in the task.
   

   When the workflow on a resource reaches a step requiring manual confirmation, confirm the action based on on-screen instructions and choose More > Confirm in the Operation column. Alternatively, click the resource name and on the displayed page, click Confirm. The workflow will then continue with the remaining migration steps.

4. Perform operations on the resources contained in the task. The table below shows the operations supported for each resource type.

   Resource Type	Related Operations

Editing a Draft

1. Sign in to the MgC console. In the navigation pane, under Project, select your application migration project from the drop-down list.
2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Migration Tasks.
3. On the Drafts tab, view all incomplete tasks.
4. Locate the desired draft and click Edit in the Operation column. On the displayed page, complete the task configuration by following on-screen instructions.

   After the task is configured and started, it will be moved from the draft list to the task list.
