By completing the questionnaires crafted from years of Huawei Cloud expertise, you can organize your source architecture and resources.

Maturity Assessments

The Maturity Assessments tab includes seven assessments to evaluate the maturity of your DevOps, landing zone, security, big data, database, application modernization, and cloud-native capabilities. Completing these assessments provides a comprehensive overview of your current platform's maturity, helping you identify areas for improvement and explore professional services and cloud solutions to enhance your operations.

Maturity Assessment

Description

DevOps Maturity Assessment

This questionnaire can evaluate your current DevOps capabilities across nine key areas: development process, requirement management, software development, testing, security management, project management, organizational structure, release and deployment, and operations. It offers a visual representation of existing gaps and inefficiencies, helping teams identify areas for improvement.

Landing Zone Maturity Assessment

This questionnaire can evaluate your current Landing Zone implementation across nine areas: organization accounts, identity permissions, network management, security measures, compliance auditing, data boundaries, monitoring and O&M, financial governance, and automated deployment. It provides a visual representation of existing gaps and areas for improvement, helping you optimize the cloud environment.

Security Maturity Assessment

This questionnaire can assess your security capabilities across eight areas: security management specifications, network security, host security, data security, identity security, application security, O&M security, and security operations. It provides a visual representation of existing gaps and improvement opportunities, helping you strengthen your overall security posture.

Big Data Maturity Assessment

This questionnaire can assess your current data utilization capabilities across five areas: organization culture, infrastructure, data management, data analytics, and data governance. It provides a visual presentation of existing gaps and areas for improvement, helping you maximize the value of your data.

Database Maturity Assessment

This questionnaire can assess your current database capabilities across six areas: serviceability, elasticity, observability, resilience, data security, organization, and culture. It provides a visual presentation of existing gaps and areas for improvement, helping you enhance your database capabilities.

Application Modernization Maturity Assessment

The questionnaire can assess your current status across five areas: application agility, stability and reliability, security and trustworthiness, service intelligence, and cost optimization. It helps identify existing challenges and deficiencies, providing insights for improvement.

Cloud Native Maturity Assessment

This questionnaire can assess your current status across 10 key areas: service orientation, elasticity, serverless architecture, observability, resilience, DevOps practices, security, operations and maintenance (O&M), distributed cloud-native capabilities, and organizational culture. It helps identify existing gaps and areas for improvement, guiding your journey toward a more robust cloud-native environment.

The following uses the DevOps maturity assessment as an example to illustrate how to complete assessment questionnaires.

  1. Sign in to the MgC console. In the navigation pane, under Project, choose a project from the drop-down list.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Assess > TCO Analysis.
  3. Select the Questionnaires box and click Start in the target card.

  4. Answer the questions in the questionnaire according to the actual situation. You can click Save in the upper right corner to save your progress and exit the questionnaire, even if some questions remain unanswered.
  5. After all questions are answered, click Generate Report button in the upper right corner to view the assessment results and optimization suggestions. The report can also be exported in PDF format for further review or sharing.

Architecture Assessments

  1. Sign in to the MgC console. In the navigation pane, under Project, choose a project from the drop-down list.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Assess > TCO Analysis.
  3. Select the Questionnaires box and click Start in the target card.

  4. Select your role. Your role determines what questions you will be asked.

  5. Answer all questions in the questionnaire in sequence. You can refer to the answer example on the right of the page. If you have any questions or need suggestions from the professional team, click Export in the upper right corner of the page to export the questionnaire. Consult the team, input their suggestions, and import the questionnaire back.

  6. After confirming the answers to all questions, click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
