Grouping Resources as Applications

You can manage resources by group using applications to facilitate subsequent resource assessment and migration.

  1. Sign in to the MgC console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Research > Application Discovery. Select a migration project in the upper left corner of the page.
  3. Click the Resources tab and choose a resource category to view the resource list.
  4. Select the resources to be added to an application and choose Group as Application in the upper left corner of the page.
  5. Select the application from the drop-down list. If no applications are available, click Create Application in the displayed dialog box. Then enter an application name and description, select the business scenario, environment, and region, and click Create.
  6. Click OK. You can view the application name in the Application column of the resources.
