Managing IAM User Tags

You can add, edit, or delete tags for IAM users. Tags are only used to filter and manage IAM users.

If your organization has configured tag policies, you need to add tags to IAM users according to the tag policies. If a tag does not comply with the policies, tag addition may fail. Contact your organization administrator to learn more about tag policies.

Procedure

Click the IAM username and then the Tags tab.

Adding a tag

Click Add Tag in the upper left corner above the tag list.

Set the key and value of the tag.

A tag is a key-value pair that can be used to filter and manage IAM users. Each IAM user can add a maximum of 20 tags.

Table 1 describes the key and value of a tag.

Parameter	Description	Example
Tag key	A tag key of an IAM user must be unique. You can customize a key or select a key of a tag created in TMS. Tag keys are case insensitive. A tag key: Can contain 1 to 64 characters. Can contain only letters, digits, spaces, and special characters (_.:=+-@), but cannot start or end with a space or start with _sys_.	Key_0001
Tag value	A tag value can be repetitive or left blank. The tag values are case-sensitive. A tag value: Can contain 0 to 128 characters. Can contain only letters, digits, spaces, and special characters (_.:=+-@).	Value_0001

Click OK.

Editing a tag
1. Locate the row containing the tag you want to edit and click Edit in the Operation column.
2. In the Edit Tag dialog box, change the tag value. Table 1 describes the parameters.
3. Click OK.
Deleting a tag
1. Locate the row containing the tag you want to delete and click Delete in the Operation column.
2. Confirm the tag details.
3. Click OK.
