Switching Between Accounts

You can easily switch between administrator and service accounts, facilitating multi-account collaboration or management and improving efficiency.

Precautions

  • Enterprise project restrictions

    After you switch to another service account, the Enterprise Project is All projects by default. You cannot switch to a specific enterprise project.

  • Function restrictions
    After you switch to a service account, the following functions are restricted:
    • The Authorization Management and Account Management under Installation & Configuration will not be displayed. To perform authorization, you need to log in to the service account using a Huawei account or an IAM account first. The authorization for each account in each region only needs to be performed once.
    • The Buy HSS entry on the Servers & Quota page will not be displayed. An administrator account cannot purchase quotas for a service account. To purchase quotas, log in to the service account using a Huawei account or an IAM account first.
    • The Use SMN topic settings option on the Alarm Configuration page will not be displayed. Only the Use Message Center settings option is available.

Constraints

  • Only the enterprise, professional, premium, container, and WTP editions support account switching.
  • Up to 1,000 accounts can be added to an organization.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the HSS console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region or project.
  3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Account. Switch from the current account to another.
