Stopping an HPC Cluster

Scenarios

If there are no jobs to run on a pay-per-use HPC cluster, you can stop the cluster to save money.

Yearly/monthly cloud servers will continue to be billed after the cluster is stopped. You need to manually unsubscribe from the cloud servers to stop billing.
Only clusters in the Running state can be stopped.

Procedure

Log in to the HPC-S² console.

In the navigation pane on the left, choose Clusters.
In the cluster list, locate the row where the cluster you want to stop resides, and choose More > Stop in the Operation column.
Click OK.
Wait until the cluster status changes to Stopped.
