Deleting a Snapshot Consistency Group
Scenarios
When using EVS, you may encounter insufficient storage space, especially when the number of snapshots approaches the quota limit. This can directly affect the creation of new snapshots or data backups. If certain snapshots are no longer required or the snapshot count reaches the maximum allowed, you can delete unnecessary snapshot consistency groups. It is recommended that you regularly check the snapshot usage and delete unnecessary snapshot consistency groups to free up storage space and improve resource utilization.
All the snapshots in the snapshot consistency group will be deleted together with the group.
Procedure
- Sign in to the EVS console.
- In the navigation pane on the left, choose Elastic Volume Service > Snapshots.
The Snapshots page is displayed.
- Click the Snapshot Consistency Groups tab.
- Find the target snapshot consistency group and click Delete in the Operation column.
- In the displayed dialog box, confirm the information and click OK.
If the snapshot consistency group disappears from the list, it is deleted successfully.
