Restarting an Instance
For maintenance purposes, if the system is abnormal, you can try restarting the instance (VM).
- You can restart an instance in the Running status.
- Restarting an API data security protection instance will interrupt system services for about 5 minutes. During this period, the status of the instance is Restarting.
- During the restart, the API data security protection instance is unavailable.
Procedure
- Log in to the DSC console.
- Click
in the upper left corner and select a region or project.
- Choose .
- Locate the target instance and choose in the Operation column.
- In the displayed dialog box, click OK.
- The restart takes about 5 to 10 minutes, and the instance status changes to Restarting.
If the instance status changes to Running, the restart is complete and the system can be used properly.
To forcibly restart an instance, select Force Restart in the Restart Instance dialog box. Forcibly stopping an instance may cause data loss. Ensure that all data files have been saved before performing this operation and no operations are performed in the system.
