Managing Workspaces

Updated on 2024-06-21 GMT+08:00

A workspace enables its administrator to manage user (member) permissions, resources, and underlying compute engines of DLV.

Each team has an independent workspace.

You can manage workspaces, data connections, screens, screen combinations, and applications only after being added to workspaces and assigned permissions.

In the workspace management, the administrator can add other users to a workspace and assign roles to them, such as Administrator, Developer, Analyst, and Visitor that are preset on DLV.

Background

  • Huawei Cloud accounts or users with the DLV FullAccess can perform all operations on DLV by default.
  • Only the users with the DLV FullAccess or Tenant Administrator permission can create, delete, or modify workspaces and set the default workspace.

The Tenant Administrator permission has all cloud service administrator permissions except the IAM management permission. For security purposes, you are not advised to grant this permission to IAM users. Exercise caution when performing this operation.

  • An IAM user can access a workspace only after being added as a member of the workspace.

Creating Workspaces

  1. Log in to the DLV console.
  2. In the navigation tree on the left, click Control Center > Workspace.
  3. On the Workspace page, click to create a workspace.
