Configuring Private Access

Creating a Proxy VPC and VPC Endpoint

After the VPCEP is created, it will be billed on a pay-per-use basis. For details, see VPCEP Price Calculator.

  1. Log in to the CodeArts console, click , and select AP-Singapore or LA-Sao Paulo1.
  2. Click Go to Workspace. The CodeArts homepage is displayed.
  3. Click the username on the top navigation bar and choose All Account Settings.
  4. In the navigation pane, choose General > Private Access.
  5. Click Create Private Connection Point.

  6. Configure the proxy VPC.

    • If you already have a VPC, click Skip Proxy VPC Configuration and go to 7.
    • If you have no VPC, configure the parameters by referring to the following table.

      Region

      The region of the VPC. The region selected in 1 is used by default and cannot be changed.

      CN North-Beijing4

      Name

      VPC name.

      Enter 1 to 64 characters. Only letters, digits, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.) are allowed.

      Test

      IPv4 CIDR Block

      The network segment of the VPC.

      The VPC's subnets must be within this range. The following CIDR blocks are supported:

      • 10.0.0.0/8–24
      • 172.16.0.0/12–24
      • 192.168.0.0/16–24

      192.168.0.0/16 (default)

      Default Subnet

      Region

      The region of the subnet. The region selected in 1 is used by default and cannot be changed.

      CN North-Beijing4

      Name

      Subnet name.

      Enter 1 to 64 characters. Only letters, digits, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.) are allowed.

      Test

      IPv4 CIDR Block

      Network segment of the subnet. It must be within the VPC's CIDR block.

      You are advised to use the same IPv4 CIDR block as the VPC.

      192.168.0.0/16

      After completing the configuration, click Next. When two messages about successful VPC and subnet creation appear, the VPC is created.

  7. The VPC Endpoints tab is displayed. Check the parameters by referring to the following table.

    VPC

    If you skipped proxy VPC configuration in 6, select a VPC from the drop-down list. Otherwise, this parameter is automatically filled with the VPC name set in Basic Information > Name in 6.

    Subnet

    If you skipped proxy VPC configuration in 6, select a subnet from the drop-down list. Otherwise, this parameter is automatically filled with the VPC name set in Default Subnet > Name in 6.

    Confirm the parameters, accept the statement, and click OK.

  8. The Private Access page is displayed, showing the creation results of all VPC endpoints in the upper right.

    To modify a VPC or VPC endpoint, click in the row that contains their IDs.

Configuring a VPN to Connect to the Proxy VPC

Use this VPN to connect your on-premises network to the proxy VPC.
