Role Management

This section describes how to create roles with the same permissions to implement hierarchical database management and improve database management quality.


You have logged in to the DAS console.


  1. On the top menu bar, choose More > Role Management. The page for managing roles is displayed.
  2. On the role list page, click Create Role at the upper left corner. On the displayed page, enter the role name and required information.

    System permissions: Include 55 types of permissions, such as CREATE USER, CREATE SESSION, CREATE ROLE, and CREATE TABLESPACE.

    Object permissions: setting username, object type, object name, and permission information For example, you can assign the select, update, delete, and index operation permissions on the DAS_CON table to the DAS user.

    Subrole: You can select a created role and assign it to the current role.

  3. Click Submit. On the displayed dialog box, click OK.
