Managing Security Reports
Scenario
Security reports provide periodic updates on your firewall's protection status. You can customize your report settings at any time to adjust the delivery mode, delivery time, or disable reports entirely.
This section describes how to manage security reports, including enabling, disabling, modifying, and deleting security reports.
Notes and Constraints
- A security report is retained for only three months. You are advised to periodically download security reports for audit.
- A custom security report cannot be modified. If you need to modify a custom security report, delete it and create a new one.
Enabling/Disabling the Security Report Function
- Create a security report.
For details, see Creating a Security Report.
- Log in to the CFW console.
- Click
in the upper left corner of the management console and select a region or project. - (Optional) Switch to another firewall instance. If there are multiple firewall instances, you can select a desired instance from the drop-down list in the upper left corner of the page.
- In the navigation tree on the left, choose .
- Toggle on or off the switch in the upper right corner of the target report to change the status.

Modifying a Security Report
- Create a security report.
For details, see Creating a Security Report.
- Log in to the CFW console.
- Click
in the upper left corner of the management console and select a region or project. - (Optional) Switch to another firewall instance. If there are multiple firewall instances, you can select a desired instance from the drop-down list in the upper left corner of the page.
- In the navigation tree on the left, choose .
- Click Edit in the lower right corner of the target report to modify the report information.

Description
Report Name
Name of a security report It must meet the following requirements:
- Only uppercase letters (A to Z), lowercase letters (a to z), numbers (0 to 9), hyphens (-), and underscores (_) are allowed.
- It can contain 1 to 255 characters.
Report Type
- Daily
Statistical period: 00:00:00 to 24:00:00 every day
A report will be sent to the recipients the day after it is generated.
- Weekly
Statistical period: 00:00:00 on Monday to 24:00:00 on Sunday
A report will be sent to the recipients at the specified time after it is generated.
Report Schedule
When Report Type is set to Daily or Weekly, you need to set the report sending time. By default, the log report of the previous statistical period is sent.
Recipient Group
If Send Report To is set to SMN topic, you need to set a recipient group.
Select a topic from the drop-down list to configure the endpoints for receiving the log report.
To create a topic, click View Topic to go to the SMN console. Perform the following operations:- Create a topic.
- Add one or more subscriptions to the topic. You will need to provide a phone number, email address, or HTTP/HTTPS endpoint to receive alarm notifications. For details, see Adding a Subscription.
- Confirm the subscription.
Send Report To
Security report recipients.- SMN topic: Configure report recipients by topic.
- Do not send: The report is not sent by email.
- Click OK. The security report is modified.
Deleting a Security Report
- Create a security report.
For details, see Creating a Security Report.
- Log in to the CFW console.
- Click
in the upper left corner of the management console and select a region or project. - (Optional) Switch to another firewall instance. If there are multiple firewall instances, you can select a desired instance from the drop-down list in the upper left corner of the page.
- In the navigation tree on the left, choose .
- Click Delete in the lower right corner of the target report and click OK in the displayed dialog box to delete it.
