Viewing Alarm Records
When a metric reaches the threshold set for an alarm rule or an event occurs, you can check the monitoring details on the Alarm Records page. By default, alarm records from the last seven days are displayed. You can select a time range to view alarm records from up to the last 30 days. When an alarm is generated, you can filter desired alarm records of a cloud resource and view their details.
Background
For details about alarm statuses, see What Alarm Status Does Cloud Eye Support? When the alarm record status is Resolved, if a metric again reaches the threshold set in the alarm rule or there is insufficient data, a new alarm record is generated while the status of the original alarm record remains unchanged.
Constraints
By default, the system retains the latest 100,000 alarm records generated from the last 30 days.
Viewing Alarm Details
- Log in to the Cloud Eye console.
- In the navigation pane, choose Alarm Management > Alarm Records.
On the Alarm Records page, you can view information about alarms triggered in the last seven days by default.
To export alarm records, click Export in the upper left corner. For details, see Exporting Alarm Records.
- Locate a record and click View Details in the Operation column. On the displayed drawer, view the basic information about the resource and view the data that triggered the latest alarm status change.

You can filter alarm records by time range, resource type/dimension/metric, alarm type, or property type.

- By resource type/dimension/metric (currently, only metrics are supported):
- Select a resource type from the target drop-down list to show all alarm records of the resource type.
- Select a dimension from the target drop-down list to show all alarm records of the dimension.
- Select a metric from the target drop-down list to show all alarm records of the metric.
- By masking status: Select an option from the drop-down list above the alarm record list to view alarm records by masking status. Select Masked alarms to view records of all masked alarms. Select Active alarms to view records of all unmasked alarms. Select All states to view all alarm records.
- By alarm type: You can filter alarm records by selecting All alarm types, Metric, or Event above the alarm record list.
- By property type: On the Alarm Records page, you can select a property type and enter a value to filter alarm records by alarm serial No., status, alarm severity, alarm rule name, resource type, resource ID, or alarm rule ID.
Different alarm types have different states. Metric alarms may be in the Alarm, Insufficient data, Expired, Resolved, or Resolved (forcible clear) state. Event alarms may be in the Alarm (triggered), Expired, or Resolved (forcible clear) state. For details, see What Alarm Status Does Cloud Eye Support? When you filter alarm records by the Alarm type, all metric alarms in the Alarm state and event alarms in the Alarm (triggered) state are displayed.
