Backing Up Logs on a Local Server

Scenarios

To enhance data disaster recovery management and improve audit data security and system scalability, you can back up configuration logs on a local server.

After a local backup is created, a log file is generated on the system data disk.

Types of Logs That Can Be Backed Up

Table 1 lists the types of logs that can be backed up locally.

Prerequisites

The role you belong to has the management permission for the System module. For details about how to check the permissions of each role, see Role.

Creating a Local Backup

Log in to your bastion host system.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose System > Data Maintain > Log Backup to go to the log backup management page.

On the right of the Data Backup Locally area, click Add. In the displayed dialog box, set parameters related to local backup.

Parameter	Description
Log content	Type of logs to be backed up. Select at least one type. For details about supported types, see Types of Logs That Can Be Backed Up.
Date Range	Time range for the logs to be backed up. Select at least one day.
Remarks	Brief description of the backup information. A maximum of 128 characters are allowed.

Click OK. You can then view the backup information on the Log Backup tab.

Follow-up Operations

You can click Download to download the backup logs to a local server.
If the system data disk space is insufficient, you can locate the row containing a backup and click Delete in the Operation column to delete the backup from the system data disk.
