COST03-03 Allocating Shared Costs
- Risk level
Medium
- Key strategies
Costs of resources shared by multiple teams, such as CDN and live bandwidths, should be allocated to each team based on their actual bandwidth usage.
Costs of CCE clusters shared by multiple teams should be allocated based on the proportion of CPU and memory capacity allocated to and used by each team. The costs cover the cluster resources including CCE, ECS, and EVS resources.
In addition, other shared resource costs, platform costs, support costs, and unallocated costs due to untimely tagging can also be allocated among various business departments according to certain rules, such as equal distribution, allocation based on consumption ratios, or allocation based on agreed ratios, in order to meet the need for fair allocation of shared costs.

Cost categories of Huawei Cloud Cost Center offer a proportional method for splitting shared costs.
Huawei Cloud Cost Center also supports allocation of shared CDN and live bandwidth costs by domain name. For details, see Splitting Shared Costs.
Huawei Cloud CCE enables granular cost allocation at the pod level, which can be summarized by higher-level Kubernetes models, such as Workloads and Services.
