Common Faults
OBS Bucket Traffic Overload
- Check: Use Cloud Eye to check metrics such as the number of requests, request success rate, and upload/download bandwidth.
- Recovery:
- Adjust batch services at the application layer to avoid performing operations such as backups during peak hours.
- If this is a temporary failure, for example, network congestion, retry at the application layer. For details, see RES09 Retries After Failures.
- Enable overload protection for the application layer to keep high-priority services running smoothly.
OBS Object Upload/Download Failure
- Check: The object upload or download failed.
- Recovery:
- If this is a temporary failure, for example, network congestion, retry at the application layer. For details, see RES09 Retries After Failures.
- If the connection to an overloaded OBS bucket failed, rectify the fault by referring to "OBS Bucket Traffic Overload."
OBS Bucket Data Mistakenly Deleted
- Check: N/A
- Recovery: Enable versioning for OBS buckets. If data is deleted, use the historical version to quickly recover the data.
