RES11-02 Stress Testing
Stress testing increases the service load beyond the system's capacity to check the overload protection, service isolation, and graceful degradation capabilities of cloud services. To test the planned overall capacity and service dependencies of a system, cloud service applications are usually tested through full-link stress testing.
- Risk level
High
- Key strategies
- Construct a large number of interface messages to perform stress testing.
- Simulate various service scenarios to perform stress testing.
- Ensure continuous automatic testing.
- Ensure alarms are automatically generated for performance deviations, so that the deviations can be located and handled in a timely manner.
- Related cloud services and tools
- CodeArts PerfTest: provides performance testing for cloud applications developed based on protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, UDP, HLS, RTMP, WebSocket, and HTTP-FLV. It can quickly simulate service peaks with a large number of concurrent users. It allows users to define the content and time series of packets and supports flexible combinations of multiple transactions to test and check service performance during peak hours.
