RES03-03 Interconnecting with DR Arbitrator for Automatic Switchover

If stateful active/standby services deployed in different AZs support automatic switchover, DR arbitration needs to be interconnected to avoid dual-active or dual-standby deployment. In this way, if a link between AZs is interrupted, services can be automatically switched to another AZ without being affected. Cluster services are not involved.

  • Key strategies
    • Interconnect with DR arbitration for stateful active/standby services. In case of link disconnections between sites, there is no dual-active deployment, and data integrity remains unaffected.
    • Connect all related application components to the consistency arbitration. If the link is disconnected, all components can be switched to the same site to maintain E2E service availability.
