Error "The OS version does not match" Is Displayed When Connecting to a Notebook Instance Created Using a Custom Image Through SSH

Symptom

You used a custom image to create a notebook instance and enabled remote SSH. However, when you connect to the notebook instance using SSH, the connection is rejected and the following error is displayed:

The OS version does not match

Possible Causes

The built-in OpenSSH version of the image is incompatible or earlier than 8.0.

Solution

You can use the notebook preset image or use the preset image to create a custom image. For details, see Creating a Notebook Instance (New Page) and Creating a Custom Image.
