How Do I Import the Proxy Server's Authentication Certificate to the MgC Agent?

If the server where the MgC Agent is installed cannot directly access external cloud services and must route requests through a proxy server, you need to import the proxy server's authentication certificate to the MgC Agent. This establishes a secure HTTPS connection and ensures that the MgC Agent can access external cloud services through the proxy server. Note that the certificate file name extension must be *.cer.

Windows

To import the authentication certificate on a Windows system, perform the following steps:

  1. Save the authentication certificate to the MgC Agent installation path: C:\MgC-Agent\config\trustcerts.
  2. Open the Task Manager on the server where the MgC Agent is installed.
  3. Switch to the Services tab, right-click the MgC-Agent service, and choose Restart from the shortcut menu to restart the MgC Agent service process.

Linux

To import the authentication certificate on a Linux system, perform the following steps:

  1. Save the authentication certificate to the MgC Agent installation path: /opt/cloud/MgC-Agent/config/trustcerts.
  2. Run the following command to restart the MgC Agent service process:
    /opt/cloud/MgC-Agent/scripts/start.sh
