How Can I Configure the Security Group Rules for Target ECSs?

  1. Log in to the management console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select the desired region and project.
  3. Under Computing, click Elastic Cloud Server.
  4. In the ECS list, click the name of the target ECS.

    The page providing details about the ECS is displayed.

  5. Click the Security Groups tab and view security group rules.
  6. Click Modify Security Group Rule.

    The Summary page of the security group is displayed.

  7. Select the Inbound Rules tab, click Add Rule to configure the access rule for the inbound direction.
    • For an ECS running a Windows OS, set Protocol & Port to TCP and Port to 8899 and 8900.

    • For an ECS running a Linux OS, set Protocol & Port to TCP and Port to 22.

    • Set Source IP address to the IP address segment containing the IP addresses that you want to allow to access the ECS over the Internet.

      Default source IP address 0.0.0.0/0 indicates that all IP addresses can access the ECSs in the security group.

  8. Click OK.
