Limitations and Constraints
This section describes the limitations and constraints on using EdgeSec.
- If the bandwidth or QPS of an edge node exceeds the maximum protection capability of the edge node due to attacks on customer services, Huawei Cloud Edge Security will take mitigation measures, including but not limited to scheduling requests to specific nodes, limiting traffic, and blocking domain names, to ensure network-wide stability. The access speed may be affected. If the attack exceeds the maximum protection capability of the purchased package, the availability issue is not within the SLA commitment.
- EdgeSec uses the IP intelligence database summarized from malicious attack sources on the entire network as a reference when the theft of credit card information is serious. However, you are not advised to configure interception based on the IP intelligence database.
- You are advised to configure anti-theft policies by referring to Anti-theft Policies and check the protection effect. In addition, you are advised to configure a domain traffic cap policy to prevent high bills.
