DMS Queue Billing

When you use HUAWEI CLOUD DMS, you pay only for what you use. There is no minimum fee. For details about the billing, see Product Pricing Details.

Billing Items

DMS usage is billed based on the number of API calls and the duration of queue usage. The calculation formula is as follows: Total DMS price = Price for API calls + Price for duration of all queue usages.

Billing Item

Description

API call

The first 1 million API calls each month are free of charge. Additional API calls are subject to tiered pricing. For example, if you make 1.5 billion API calls, the first 1 billion API calls will be billed based on the price of the "> 1 million to ≤ 1 billion" tier, and the remaining 500 million API calls will be billed based on the price of the "> 1 billion to ≤ 5 billion" tier.

  • Only those API calls initiated to produce and retrieve messages are billed, including sending messages to a specified queue, retrieving messages, acknowledging the retrieval of specified messages, retrieving dead-letter messages, and acknowledging the retrieval of dead-letter messages.
  • Every 64 KB of message body is counted as one API call. For example, a request containing a message body of 256 KB is counted as four API calls (256/64 = 4).
  • The number of API calls is calculated by calendar month.

Queue

You pay by the duration of use for each queue.

  • The minimum time unit is one hour. If you use a DMS queue for less than one hour, you will be charged for a full hour.
  • Queue use duration is calculated by the hour.

Your DMS price is calculated based on the total usage of all message queues, rather than a single message queue.
