Overview

DeHs can only be billed on a yearly/monthly basis.

You can create ECSs with specified specifications on a DeH. ECSs created on the DeH are free of charge, and you only need to pay for the associated resources you used such as images, EIPs, EVS disks, and Cloud Backup and Recovery (CBR).

  • Yearly/Monthly is a prepaid billing mode. You pay in advance for a subscription term, and in exchange, you get a discounted rate. The longer the subscription term, the bigger the discount.
  • Pay-per-use is a postpaid billing mode. You pay as you go and just pay for what you use. The usage of resources associated with the ECSs created on a DeH, such as images, EIPs, EVS disks, and CBR, is calculated by the second but billed every hour.

Table 1 lists the differences between the billing modes.

Billing Items

Billing for Stopped DeH

Billing stops after the subscription expires.

Stopping ECSs does not affect billing of yearly/monthly DeHs.

After an ECS is stopped, the associated image will no longer be billed but other associated resources, such as EIPs, EVS disks, and CBR, will continue to be billed.

Changing the Billing Mode

DeHs can only be billed on a yearly/monthly basis, and the billing mode cannot be changed.

Resources associated with the ECSs created on a DeH, such as images, EIPs, EVS disks, and CBR, can only be billed on a pay-per-use basis, and the billing mode cannot be changed.

Changing the Specifications

The specifications of ECSs on a DeH can be changed, but the specifications of the DeH cannot be changed.

When you change the specifications of an ECS, the specifications of the resources associated with the ECS, such as images, EIPs, EVS disks, and CBR, cannot be changed.
