Can OCR Process Text in Video Streams in Real Time?

Currently, Huawei Cloud OCR does not support directly reading video stream data or performing real-time text recognition from video sources.

If you need to recognize text within a video stream, you must first extract image frames. This can be done using video processing tools or technologies (such as FFmpeg) to capture static frames at set intervals (for example, one frame per second or one every two seconds, adjustable based on how frequently text appears). Once the key frames containing the text are extracted, they can be uploaded via API or SDK following the standard OCR workflow to obtain recognition results.
